Full Description

The innovation is based on the ability of gas-discharge electron guns, developed by the Company, to generate profiled electron beams, in particular, in the form of an inverted hollow cone that allows feeding the wire feedstock coaxially with the heat source (EB gun).
It allows very accurate control of the metallurgy conditions during the formation of complex three-dimensional metal objects resulting in significantly improved accuracy and resolution of metal parts and high quality of deposited material - the possibility of obtaining the structure and properties of 3D printed metal similar to forged products was demonstrated, i.e., equalized the quality with conventional methods of metal production.
The easy configuration of the deposition process provides easy process control excluding extra requirements for personnel skills. 3D printing systems have reasonable prices and low operating costs, and equipment does not require specific conditions for operating infrastructure. Feedstock - standard industrial metal wire - is accessible and safe. Process configuration allows producing metal parts of any size and weight - from centimeters to meters, from tens of grams to tens and hundreds of kilograms - with high productivity.
Together these features make the Company's metal 3D printing systems attractive to the broad spectrum of industrial and R&D users.
