General information
- Short Summary
- A French medtech has developed and commercialises a solution for post-processing cardiavascular MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), 4D Flow mRI, and CT scan, allowing physicians to diagnose cardiovascular pathologies. Powered by artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms, the solution provides a decision making assistance for cardiologists and radiologists. The company is looking for license cooperation with public or private health institutions practicing cardiovascular MRI and CT
- Full Description
-
The solution developed by the French company is a post-processing software for cardiovascular MRI, 4D Flow, and CT (computed tomography) -scan based on artificial intelligence. It is a class IIa medical device, CE marked since 2017, FDA and TFDA cleared since 2022.
This diagnostic software integrates the main sequences for cardiovascular analysis : cardiac function, Strain, delayed enhancement, first pass, and TI, T2 and T2* mapping, as well as aortic flow and compliance. A solution for 4D flow analysis is also available.
The solution powered by artificial intelligence loads images in DICOM format (digital imaging and communications in medicine), analyses MRI and CT examinations, and assists the physician to diagnose cardiovascular pathologies.
The main objective of this innovative medical device is to detect the different areas of the heart, to quantify more than 100 clinical parameters, and assist the physician in the cardiovascular diagnosis.
This stand-alone software has 4 modules integrating the main sequences necessary for the physician to perform his diagnosis such as in Cine (Cardiac function and Strain), late enhancement, first pass, mapping (T1, T2, T3), aortic flow and compliance. These different modules allow to highlight pathologies such as myocardial diseases, strokes and tumors.
One of the main challenges for today's physicians is to perform the most accurate diagnosis in the shortest time, which is why the software includes AI and Deep learning algorithms. The solution allows physician analysis time to be reduced by a factor of 10 and solves a major problem encountered by practitioners to correct the contours drawn automatically and inaccurately.
The software is dedicated to cardiologists to diagnose their patients' cardiovascular pathologies and produces a report. It is also dedicated to radiologists with experience and training in cardiovascular imaging.
Being based on Deep learning algorithms, it includes the first algorithm to offer an AI-based anatomical guarantee, which implies that the contour is correctly positioned on the heart and therefore reduces the risk of misdetection. In addition, the software integrates the first false positive detection algorithm for myocardial infraction, which allows the physician to save considerable time.
The software was designed to be easy to use and quick to master, it can be run on an entry level computer and is compatible with all MRI and CT scans manufacturers. Available in 7 languages, it is adapted to the international context in which the industry operates. Putting the user at the center of the offer, an excellent customer experience is the priority, with training given by the team and with personnalised follow-up.
The company is looking for cooperation with public or private health institutions that practice cardiovascular MRI and CT. - Advantages and Innovations
-
The software is based on Deep Learning Algorithms, such as :
- the first anatomically guaranteed ventricular contour detection algorithm that substantially reduces contour correction time,
- the first automated quantitative and analysis tool, as well as the first algorithm to detect false positives in myocardial infarction for delayed enhancement MRI and CT sequences,
- a fast and robust algorithm providing automatic segmentation for the aorta,
- a motion correction algorithm for the First pass.
The software is compatible with all manufacturers and all PACs. - Stage of Development

Partner Sought
- Expected Role of a Partner
-
Healthcare public or private companies practicing cardiovascular MRI and CT scans, and wishing to optimize their imaging solutions, including an innovative solution with AI technologies to improve patient care.
Once the license is acquired, the French company will take care of the installation and integration of the solution in its environment.
Training sessions will be held to teach the users how to use the software. A regular follow-up will be set up to follow the evolution of the doctors in the practices. - Type and Size of Partner
