A Finnish SME develops, produces, resells and installs blinds, awnings, window shades, curtains, sunscreens, doors etc. products for indoor and outdoor use. The SME has operated 50 years in Finnish markets and clients are consumers, shops, industrial companies and public organisations.
The company is now searching for sunscreen film manufacturer for their roller blind product. Sunscreen film should be applicable to roller type curtains used in windows. The end products are used in offices, hotel rooms, wheel houses of cruiser ship, cruiser ship cabins and private homes.
The outside surface of the film should be highly reflective, and color silver. The inner surface of the film should be non-reflective appearance, and color grey. The width of the film should be 160-180 cm at minimum, more wider the better. Minimum size of the delivery (roll of foil) should be over 70 meters.
The producer should have performance tests done for the film material to have type certificate.
The estimated amount is 300-500 m2 per year.
The Finnish SME is searching for an industrial manufacturer capable to supply this required sunscreen film material on long-term partnership. - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought

Sunscreen film should be applicable to roller type of system. The film is expected to have high level of antiglare and heat rejecting properties as well as excellent endurance qualities.
Outside surface of the film should be highly reflective while the inner surface of the film should be non-reflective appearance. Outer surface of the film is required to be silver (highly reflective) and inner surface grey color (non-reflective).
Technical requirements:
-Anti-glare effect: better than 80 %
-Heat rejection: better than 60 %
-UV light transmission: less than 1 %.
-Light transmission: less than 3 %
-Light reflection: more than 74 %
-Light absorption: less than 22,0 %
-Reflection of solar energy: more than 91 %
The producer should have performance tests done for the film material to have type certificate.
Width of the film should be 160-180 cm at minimum, more wider the better. Minimum size of the delivery (roll of foil) should be over 70 meters.
Excellent endurance of the film material is requirement for long lasting operation. Rolling up/down function sets very high demand for mechanical endurance of the film material. - Stage of Development

The expected partner is an industrial company capable to manufacture the material described in technical specifications.
The supplier should provide valid tests of performance to selected film material. Preferable certifications applicable globally to demonstrate performance of the film (anti-glare, heat rejection, UV light transmission). The certificates should be also in use of the purchasing company to demonstrate high standard of the material to it's own customers.
