- Full Description
-
The Department of Political Science of an Italian leading university intends to set a partnership to participate in the next Call for proposal of Erasmus+ Programme: Cooperation partnerships in higher education, deadline on 20 March 2023 – total value: 400.000 euro
It is looking for two partners: Business Associations, Development Agencies, Chambers of Commerce
Title of the proposal would be: MIT – Microcredentials for International Trade project.
This proposal intends to build up a series of short and certified online learning modules focused on international trade aimed at developing the knowledge, skills and competencies the university students need to have better placement chances in the evolving labour market and support SMEs in their development at international level.
The complexity and multidisciplinarity of professional profiles in the field considered requests for a more comprehensive, flexible, and learner-centred approach.
MIT wants to capitalize on two important experiences nurtured at the University: a fully online master's degree in International Relations, Politics & Trade and the Forthem Digital Academy (https://elearning.forthem-alliance.eu), that is the online platform for online courses, collaboration and networking of the Forthem Universities Alliance.
From a subject-based point of view, MIT will be structured into a series of self-consistent, asynchronous, self-paced and self-assessed online learning modules, typically (but not necessary) consisting of video- lessons, e-learning materials, and tests.
At the end of the module, MIT will release an e-badge certifying the learning outcomes acquired by individuals.
By way of example, MIT modules could focus on digital export, international payments, INCOTERMS, fundamentals of statistics for international trade, IT data analysis for business and trade, customs clearance in a digital age, country risk analysis, and so forth.
From a methodological point of view, MIT will endeavour its best efforts to involve stakeholders and practitioners in designing, developing and disseminating the e-learning content. MIT main tenet must be to balance as much as a possible theory with practical experience in perspective to integrate and strengthen the university courses and to channel with the key actors in the labour market.
The project's objective is manifold.
• Enhancing the employability of university students in the international trade field: import/export managers and consultants, business developers, sales managers, account managers, custom forwarders, expansion/ commercial strategy managers, business analysts, and logistics managers.
• Strengthening the internationalization of the local universities, sharing stakeholders' networks, experiences and good practices at the international level
• Voicing stakeholders through a structured method of coordination in the field of the higher education
• Fostering the enterprises' internationalization
