General information
- Short Summary
- A Polish innovative company is offering to foreign distributors and final users such as cities and companies their newest product enriched by unique IT technology supporting cities and organisation's sustainability management and development: e-scooters and e-bikes charging station, supplied by solar energy and connected to a dedicated app. Application of this solution in companies and other organisation supports their sustainability reporting and employee motivation systems.
- Full Description
-
A Polish company based in Krakow, active on the market since 2016 has designed and launched into the market several products for smart cities using solar energy. Their range of products includes currently 3 series of smart solar benches, solar infokiosks, a solar shelter and a charging station for e-scooters and e-bikes. The company was a finalist of “Urban Environment no 8 contest. Smart City Expo in Barcelona” – as a first company from Poland for implementation of their Future City ecosystem in Krakow. They’ve been also granted many other awards and recognitions in Poland and internationally both as a company and for their specific products.
Currently they are looking for foreign distributors and final buyers of e-mobility charger, called jCharge, supplied by solar energy which they’ve designed and produced. jCharge is a charging station for electric scooters and bicycles and is a fully modular and autonomous product, designed for the development of micro-electromobility in cities. Its operation requiring no external power supply is possible thanks to efficient solar panels and dedicated electronics. In its default configuration, the station consists of 4 charging stands in the form of 2 low and 2 high poles. Each pole is equipped with a universal vertical slot, which alternatively allows the bike to be docked. The posts have double-sided grips that stabilise the scooter’s handlebars.
Technical specification of jCharge is following: PV power: 340 W, Battery: 60 Ah, Charging voltage: 40-58 V, Operation: off grid/ on grid/ hybrid, Chargeable vehicles: scooters/bikes (with possibility of charging various models of these vehicles), Height: 2461 mm, Width: 1978 mm, Remote management, Performance analysis, Interactive LED (dark and motion sensor), Integration with operators, Modularity, Rust protection.
Other jCharge features are:
-electronically controlled locker of a scooter or bicycle,
-environmental sensor (showing smog, temperature, noise levels),
-IoT ready – may be connected to other devices,
-100% made in Poland.
The jCharge stations are primarily designed to charge the scooters of city operators, who provide the system with data on the location of scooters. In this way, jCharge builds order in the city and makes micromobility 100% eco-friendly. The product is also a real reduction in operating costs for operators, who can pay cities for the process. Thanks to the management panel, the current energy consumption and bill of each operator may be checked.
These stations are already working is several cities in Poland and Germany. Currently it’s introduced on a bigger scale in the form of Solar-powered Micromobility System in the city of Szczecin where 34 jCharges (with 4 charging stations each) are installed and will be carefully tested throughout 2023).
jCharge may also be implemented in all kind of organisations including companies, in the form of system comprising vehicles, chargers and an app incorporated into IT tool supporting this organisation management processes. The IT tool may deliver to a company precious data helping in ESG reporting (Environment Social Governance reporting) because jCharges are constantly measuring and recording values of produced solar energy and CO2 reduction. Additionally, employees apps may be incorporated into corporate motivation systems and encourage them to use scooters and bicycles instead of cars. In employees systems charging stands are booked remotely via app and unblocked with QR code after reaching a jCharge.

-
jCharge may be a part of green strategy of each city which needs to remove smog and traffic jams from theirs streets as it involve use of solar energy. Thanks to jCharge stations, charging electric scooters and bicycles becomes friendly for residents of developing cities. The versatile system is based on modules, which allows to match the charging method to the connected device. This is a very big relief in a situation where there are many types of scooters and electric bikes in the city. Proprietary technology obtains and manages electricity from solar energy, which positively affects the ecological image of cities.
Implementing jCharge system for employees by a company or organisation may also be a part of their sustainable development strategy because it reduces their CO2 emission. - Stage of Development
