- Short Summary
-
A Danish startup established in 2020 that offers sustainable natural jute products is seeking distributors in the packaging, construction, home decor, and agro-industry industries.
With a vision to save nature, the Danish government will gradually ban disposable plastic within a few years. Simultaneously, woodcutting will become stricter.
In this situation, jute-based bioplastic, jute-diversified products, and composites could be good solutions because of their high cellulose base. - Full Description

Full description: The Danish SME, founded in 2020, started researching the market and learned about proposed changes in Denmark for single-use plastic and wood products. This new knowledge made the company take the initiative to fill the market gap with 100% nature-friendly jute-made products, with the motto “help nature to revive.” All these products have great potential as alternatives to synthetics, single-use plastic, and wood-based products. Their collection includes:
1. Jute-made packaging material, consumer packaging, and B2B for carriage and storage). Targeted customers: grocery stores and consumers who shop frequently at those shops.
2. Jute-made hessian cloth. Targeted customers: construction and interior designing.
3. Jute agro textiles are used for plantations and erosion control. The targeted customers are the agriculture and road and railway construction industries.
4. Jute-made designer bags and home décor. Targeted customers: End consumers - online sales, supermarkets, and shops.
5. Jute composites: Thermal jute flex is used in building insulation. Its targeted customers are the housing and construction industries.
6. Jute based 100% bio-plastic. Targeted customers: Any industry using plastic as product packaging materials.
Today, the SME has four associated service partners for import and export clearing and forwarding, international and domestic carriage, and B2C customer delivery. The SME has outsourced its manufacturing from reputable ISO-certified suppliers to complete the value chain of its business. They have successfully managed a full value chain consisting of manufacturing, independent quality checks, 3rd party quality confirmation and certification, research and development, C&F (cost & and freight (ocean and air), domestic delivery, B2C delivery to online customers, financial and business controlling, website and IT support, online marketing, and sales. In addition, they are being actively supervised by the local business center, which supports the SME with technical and legal guidance and consultancy.
The founder has a background in Bangladesh, the world's largest exporter of raw jute, finished and semi-finished products, and many diversified jute products. The SME has relevant know-how, resources, and support from the Bangladeshi network to import finished and semi-finished goods or raw jute. The SME considers this a unique resource for their competitiveness in this business. Since its establishment, the SME has been working on developing markets and networking. So far, they have many sales with the large Danish construction company Rockwool and are also in dialogue with companies from the UK and the Netherlands.
To continue their expansion, they are looking for a range of distributors working with the targeted industries, including suppliers to supermarkets and fast-moving consumer goods outlets, the construction industry, home décor, agriculture, etc - Advantages and Innovations
