The laboratory of this Greek research institute is specialised in the field of agri-technology and the broader scientific area of bio-systems engineering. The institute’s research priorities include sustainability, assessment of bio-production activities and promotion of circular economy and bioeconomy both in the commercial market and the industrial sector.

The laboratory has been involved in numerous national and international research projects as a project partner or coordinator. Its research activities span over a wide range of areas, from solid waste management to sustainable production, from environmental management and assessment to clean energy transition, from product traceability to biomass utilisation and from air pollution to climate change.

The team of research experts would like to broaden the laboratory’s reach further by offering its expert technology assessment services to international inventors of new technologies or creators of innovative new bioeconomy practices. Therefore, it is looking for inventors from abroad to conclude service agreements in the form of outsourcing.
