- Full Description
-
The SME from North-West Italy is specialized in design and manufacturing of flexible and customized assembly systems applicable in different sectors, from automotive to industrial components, medical, white goods and luxury.
The company set up an internal Tech Center for the development and testing of advanced Industry 4.0 technologies such as: laser applications, advanced vision systems, AI applications, electrical motor winding, robotic applications and bin-picking. These technologies implement the Industry4.0 strategy towards innovative, more efficient, more sustainable production processes.
The company is specialized in the design, construction and installation of special machines for assembly, handling and end-of-line testing, as well as integration of state-of-the-art robots and related services. Established in 1929, it is now a highly innovative technological company, well known at international level and serving many global manufacturers: the principle of continuous improvement guides the company in the design and construction of “turnkey” assembly lines, robot cells, independent workstations and end of line stations for testing and validation of production processes. Starting from 1998, it diversified its production range due to the great demand of the market and it is now a group active in the automotive, electronic and mechanical sector, among others. Its platforms can be equipped with different standard operative groups for different tasks (assembly, screwing dosing, welding and others), according to customer requirements. This guarantees consistently improved production both in terms of performance and reliability.
The problem to be solved: SMEs often don’t have the internal capacity and resources to perform in-house testing and experimentation of different available technologies in order to choose the investment strategy that better respond to their needs; then, they can rely on more experienced partners to perform such testing activities. The company is used to collaborate with partners willing to implement new enabling technologies in their production process, and it offers access to its Tech Center to implement testing and validation of new advanced technologies; thanks to the high expertise of the internal staff, the company can also support the partner in co-design & co-development activities.
The SME invests in new enabling technologies or early adopter technologies in-house, with the aim of generating a continuous exchange of information and resources between academia and industry. This strategy creates a virtuous circle of exchange and growth for new generations of innovators.
The partners bring in their projects, concept products and ideas for the implementation of new technologies and get access to the Tech Center for the development, co-development and testing of new advanced technologies under outsourcing agreement. - Advantages and Innovations
