General information
- Short Summary
- A Hungarian startup company developed a Sensors to Net (S2N) monitoring system and device that can measure even on remote places with hard access or poor infrastructure without human interaction, where other telecommunication technologies or energy supply are not available. The company is looking for partners for commercial and/or investment agreement.
- Full Description
-
The Hungarian company was founded in 2016, the founders are professionals with extensive experience in water industry and IoT applications, who are committed to environmental protection as well. The team of engineers is at home in product and software development, wireless data collection and communication, system integration as well as AI/BI aided data analysis.
The Sensors to Net (S2N) monitoring system can measure even on remote places with hard access or poor infrastructure without human interaction, where other telecommunication technologies or energy supply are not available. S2N data collecting devices were developed by the companys’ experts for water industrial experts. These devices use standard sensor interface thus any standard sensor can be integrated into the S2N system.
The battery powered units are collecting sensor data and transmitting them to a dedicated data warehouse server wirelessly, where the collected data is transformed to information for different levels of experts or leaders.
Collected data is transmitted by using the latest technological achievements, specially developed for machine-to-machine communication, like LoRaWAN or NB IoT.
LoRaWAN and NBIoT are low-power wide-area network technologies, using radio waves for transmission. Their low cost and long battery life operation provides extremely high number of connections, secure and reliable data transfer. The distance between the sensors and the gateway or base station – which collects data from the radio network and transmits data to the dedicated network server on IP backend- can be up to 10 km and a unit can handle thousands of devices. The company believes in that combination of different mind-sets results in innovative and intelligent technology solutions, and that can support reduction of energy consumption and nonrevenue water as well, and meanwhile the water utilities could operate more effective, protect the environment and their services standards can go even higher.
Challenges and solutions
• Monitoring of facilities scattered in huge area
• Access to sensors operating in remote locations
• Avoiding of cable lying problems and costs
• Solution for data transfer difficulties
• Easy installation, wireless technology
• Data transfer without cabling, GSM or internet
• Continuous monitoring, online real-time data
APPLICATIONS IN WATER INDUSTRY
• Monitoring of wells – monitoring water volume, pressure and water level
• Monitoring machines on pumping stations and booster stations
• Water volume and level monitoring of basins, water towers and reservoirs
• Handover point monitoring
• Pipeline and distribution network monitoring
• Measurement of water consumption and pressure demand in industrial zones and factories
• DMA and pressure zone monitoring and measurement
• Zone gate valves and pressure reducers monitoring
The company is looking for partners/distributors to help their expansion to a market where non-revenue water and energy efficiency has relevancy.
The company is looking also for investors for a cooperation that would help to expand worldwide and let us develop more and more smart solutions for this demanding market. - Advantages and Innovations
