The Spanish company is a young innovative company founded by two women scientists with extensive experience in Food Science Research with 20 years of accumulated experience and with more than 10 patents, created as result of a tech transfer agreement with their parent research institute (Spanish scientific research council CSIC) and Francisco de Vitoria University UFV).
Dedicated to disruptive innovation for the agri-food and gastronomic sector, the company focuses in developing new ideas, providing new solutions to the challenges proposed by the food system worldwide, committing their new products to comply with health improvement and sustainable production/consumptiom pre-requisities.
After having accomplished their tech platform development stage and having established a network of suppliers and partners at national level to design their supply chain, and at the same time, counting with clients , distributors and chefs for its value chain actitivies, covering online and traditional market channels; the company enters now a new stage regarding internationalization, based in its worldwide exclusive rights to exploit the industrial secret of a new plan-based ingredient, under a registered trademark.
Willing to boost their product internationalization, the company has initiated its firsts steps to reach new markets. Eu countries in particular, Germany and the Netherlands are under their preference to stablish links, connections and collaborations with food agents (manufacturers, distributors, chefs....). Collaboration is sought under different agreements depending on the partners food supply or value chain position and activities and collaboration policies. Investment, commercial with technical assistance or research and development agreements will be considered as an initial basis, regarding activities proposed by partners and its stage regarding market introduction or co-development activities. - Advantages and Innovations

Company advantages and innovation, are on one side, based on its problem solving capacities and innovation processes, focused in generating new products regarding general agrifood problems and consumer trends under a systemic, circular and sustainable way . This way their technologies and products are alligned to tackle human health and enviromental preservation and sustainability issues within agri-food systems. On the other side, specifical advantages are directly linked to their new plant based product when it is compared with other protein sources for diet, as meat. In that sense, considering this new product category and its competitors:
* Made with only 6 natural ingredients. It is the only product in the market based in Carob seeds.
Carob is a 100% Mediterranean legume which provides numerous benefits. From an
environmental point of view, it is a legume with a low water and carbon footprint, since this plant
species of Mediterranean origin requires very little water for its cultivation, enriches the soil by
fixing nitrogen, is very resistant to pests and generates great wealth in the biodiversity of the soil
where it is grown.
* Excellent nutritional properties for human nutrition. Leggie® is nutritionally balanced, includes
proteins of high biological value because it has the presence of the 9 essential amino acids, rich
in fiber to promote the health of the intestinal microbiota and satiating effect, low in saturated fats
and cholesterol free. Its caloric content is half that of conventional minced meat.

* Food allergens free (no soya, gluten, egg or dairy products).

Regarding the type of collaborations considered, expertise is to be considered under a twofold frame:
* oriented to new product development, design or formulation activities when considering research and development agreements. Agents with activities or knowldege on research or foodtech innovators would be preferred.
* Expertise in manufacturing, scaling up or in the whole cycle of new food products market introduction are sought when thinking in collaborations regarding commercial with technical assistance or investment agreements.
