General information

Short Summary
A Spain-based startup specialized in cybersecurity seeks integrators for their threat-detection platform. The platform automatically detects, investigates, and monitors threats, accessible through a web portal or through its API; and is capable of monitoring ransomware networks that demand ransom from companies in exchange for not spreading their data on the network.
The company is looking for commercial agreements.
Full Description
Ransomware is a type of malware from crypto virology that threatens to publish the victim’s personal data or permanently block access to it unless a ransom is paid off. Ransomware attacks refer to the methods that a cybercriminal might use to infiltrate an environment and threaten an organization or individual in exchange for a ransom payment, and they can cause costly disruptions to operations, the loss of critical information and data, and financial losses.

Nowadays, cybercrime is growing up and, in particular, cybercriminals use ransomware as a tool to steal data and essentially hold it hostage, and they only release the data when they receive a ransom payment. Therefore, this is a big concern to be addressed.

Ransomware detection measures include antivirus alerts, changes in file extensions, changes in file names, increased processor and disk usage, suspicious network traffic, and encrypted files. Effective communication channels, educational programs, and disconnecting infected machines from all networks are some of the ways to prevent ransomware attacks. In addition, there are several protection packages that helps prevent, detect, and respond to ransomware attacks, potentially mitigating the impact of ransomware on your business.

However, all these measures require a considerable amount of time and resources to master, as in-depth subject matter expertise is needed to properly manage ransomware detection.

In this context, the Spanish company is offering a cyber threat intelligence platform that not only stores all information in real-time enabling the detection of attacks, data breaches and the discovery of other types of threats; but also automatically detects, collects and investigate information from the most relevant darknets and cybercrime forums.

This solution is suitable for large companies and insurance companies with cyber insurance.

The company is looking for partners, in order to reach agreements with international ICT integrators; and therefore, develop its international business.
Advantages and Innovations
Unlike most of the cybersecurity solutions in the current market, this intelligent threat detection platform monitors multiple darknets and forums associated with cybercrime, such as: Tor, I2P, Freenet, ZeroNet, cybercrime forums, dark markets and ransomware sites.

It has indexed and monitored data from more than 50 ransomware groups. As cybercriminals encrypt and steal private company information, this tools monitor where is this information being sold and published, offering a way of detecting and answering cyber incidents.

In addition, it provides a way of accessing historic data and webpage versioning, providing a Wayback Machine to the darknet and cybercriminal forums. Regardless of whether this information has disappeared.

It can be used through a dashboard, an API or numerous integrations (e.g. MISP Threat Sharing or the platform Python library).
Its web dashboard makes it easy to search and access searches, allowing easy access to the content, and offering a content cache viewer. In addition, multiple filters and statistics can be used and viewed.

• This platform automatically detects, collects and investigates information from darknets and relevant cybercrime forums, while also monitoring ransomware.

• It saves a historical record of over 2 years, including vanished data.

• The Spanish company is seeking cooperation with ICT integrators to expand globally.
