Short Summary

A French design office proposes innovative products to help police officers at field to neutralise crowds or dangerous assailants without harmfully injuring people. The SME offers its expertise to create new products or transfer patented technologies. Technical cooperation, investment or license agreements are sought with partners in the weapons manufacturing or ballistic protection, sector in order to complete their classic range with new launcher, less-lethal ammunition or weapon accessories.

Full Description

The French SME specialised in mechatronics aims to offer law enforcement sector with alternatives to the equipment usually used while endeavouring to limit injuries. To meet the needs of the field, the SME innovated by creating original, efficient and reliable products, such as:

>Less-lethal launcher latest generation innovative with precision and reliability for operational use between 10 and 30 meters (optimal range 20m).

>Projectile of neutralisation: it has been developed for neutralisation and crowd management. The innovative projectile impactor is adapted to modern constraints and uses. It has the particularity of making a 90° rotation at the barrel outlet in order to present a greater contact area than its diameter. Its particular design ensures its rotation, and its empennage its stability for a linear fight. It meets the criteria of less penetrating shock and mechanical or behavioural immobilisation of the target. It has a contact width greater than 37mm and larger. It is efficient up to 20m; however, it can become harmful and even lethal if fired too much close.

>Incapacitant spray shield: it is a technological advance in law enforcement equipment to help police officer to focus on his action and to protect himself while spraying a disabling product like pepper.

>Adjustable and foldable buttstock: it has been developed to allow optimal shooting when using a visor helmet or a gas mask. It perfectly adapts to the shooter, eliminates the parallax defect when shooting with a holographic sight (2 eyes open) and allows to bring the weapon closer to the body for a reinforced support. This patented system allows to adjust the weapon according to the configurations of use and the morphology of the shooter, 9 notches of adjustment: its advantage a single butt for all the uses.

>Bullet bin to enable to perform security measures safely: it is a versatile safety metallic tube for handguns and less-lethal weapons. This patented system allows under the same conditions of use a conventional sand tube to neutralise the elastomer ammunition, Taser, lethal ammunition, during accidental firing during the handling of the weapon.

>Law enforcement grenade: it is a new generation protection manual device. It reinforces the panoply of less-lethal tools. Its elastomer body is composed of 18 pebbles that separate during the explosion. The sound effect is greater than 140 and less than 160dB.

The French company has field experience which, combined with the engineering and responsiveness offered by new technologies, can adapt quickly to demand and position itself as a less-lethal arms company applying an agile mode of operation.

The SME is looking for industrial partners interested in acquiring innovative products and associated know-how transfer. The SME can also support industrial companies to design new products to solve field challenges. The partners should preferably located in Europe.

The industrial partner should be located in Europe.

The partner should already manufacture for example:
-ergonomic personal protective equipment specifically dedicated to law enforcement (helmets, shields…) or individual neutralisation operations
-ballistic protection (bullet-proof vests, packs, blade guards, rigid plates...)
-weapons and accessories

The industrial partner could:
-produce and sell the offered patented less lethal technologies under license agreements, to expand its product portfolio,
-request for the design of an innovative product under a technical cooperation agreement,
-invest to enter the capital of the French company.
The partner will benefit from the French company's 10-year expertise at field and know-how in designing reliable and efficient tailor-made less lethal products with a user-centric approach. With less lethal innovative products, the partner will be in capacity to faster conquer news markets.
