Events to look out for

Copernicus 'Eyes on Earth' Roadshow in Darmstadt – 12-13 June, Darmstadt (DE). The 'Eyes on Earth' Roadshow in Darmstadt will demonstrate how the EU’s Copernicus satellite programme helps to better understand our planet and creates jobs and business opportunities. Participants will have access to interactive masterclasses, sessions dedicated to real business cases and matchmaking opportunities. This is the first in a series of five events.

Construction and building technologies business mission to Singapore and the Philippines – 3-9 November 2019. This mission will bring up to 50 companies to Singapore and the Philippines for a series of B2B meetings and meet-the-exhibitors sessions at several local business fairs. Applications are open until 21 June.

 

Funds available

€48.2 million available in the 2019 Connected Europe Facility Telecom calls for proposals. Up to €48.2 million is foreseen for grants in the area of generic services. The grants will help European businesses to hook up to the core platforms of the digital services that are the object of the calls. Call topics include e-ID, e-invoicing, e-procurement and more.

EU policies for better business

European Defence Union: new guidance to help EU countries run joint defence procurements. The European Commission published new guidance on cooperative defence procurement. This will facilitate EU countries' participation in collaborative defence projects under the future European defence fund.

Get involved

Apply for the European Data Incubator. Businesses can solve a real-life data challenge and get up to €100K worth of training and workshops, mentoring from dedicated coaches, and direct access to large European corporates. Applications are open until 19 June.
