General information
- Short Summary
- A Spanish spin off company is developing new ultra high vacuum techniques and processes for gas phase nanoparticles fabrication. It offers technical and research cooperation agreements to companies looking for high purity nanoparticles with applications in aerospace, energy, biosensors or nanomedicine applications.
- Full Description
- Nanostine is and spin off company coming from the spanish Consejo Superior de Investigaciones científicas CSIC. Born in May 2020, the Company is focused on the development, manufacturing and commercialization of new materials based on high quality nanoparticles. Their technologies aim to ameliorate the quality (size uniformity, low surfactants and ligands residues) and manufacturing process of the actual wet processes of nanoparticles production. Setting a single fabrication set up with controlled environment conditions will allow them to manufacture pure, ligands free and narrow size particles highly demanded in aerospace, energy and medical sectors applications. They count with tested and validated technologies, protected under patent and license rights.
- Advantages and Innovations
-
The company's technological solutions are based on Ultra high Vacuum (UHV) technique for the fabrication of nanoparticles in gas phase.
The main advantages are:
• Atoms are ejected using a magnetron gun.
• The controlled aggregation of the atoms allows the growth of the nanoparticles.
• The nanoparticles are extracted in the form of a beam.
• UHV Purity control.
• Precise control of the composition, size (1-30 nm) & size distribution.
• Gas-phase, ligand-free, solvent free (100 % of surface available).
• Absence of toxic by-products, green technology. - Stage of Development
