- A Czech SME company offers capacity of their supercritical extraction line to the medium-scale or starting producers of components to cosmetics, food, beverages and pharmaceutical industries. The technology is suitable for the extraction of costly or less available herbs or herbs in the order of tens, hundreds of kilograms. The monthly capacity of the line is 6 tons. The company is expecting to sign a technical services agreement.

A Czech company has been a producer, processor and supplier of pharmaceutical-grade hemp extract products for further processing in the cosmetics, food and beverage industries since 2014. The company also operates a supercritical extraction line which is used to turn the natural herbs in solid state into a liquid extract. The method is based on the solubility of the ingredients in a solvent (CO2) in a supercritical state. The line is of medium size, with a 150 l input container where the input raw material for production is placed. E.g. hemp is light, so it can hold approx. 30-40 kg, depending on the method of processing. In case of cumin or pepper, the weight is much greater. The output is a concentrate in the form of a paste, which is suitable for the food and cosmetics industries. The company has already extracted, seaweed, birch bark, amaranth grain, milk thistle, yerba matte, coffee grounds, rose hips or trillium. It is also able to extract bulk matters such as pepper.
In addition, the Czech company possesses three types of mills that can be used to prepare the raw material before extraction. Thus, the customer brings in a sample of his raw material and the development department assesses whether it is suitable for extraction or prepare the raw material for better effect and yield.
