SEAFUTURE 2023

The thematics that will be at the center of the eighth edition of SEAFUTURE are those dictated by the international agenda, which addresses, even dramatically, the main topics: security, not only in the context of defence, but also to guarantee a free, shared and sustainable use of the maritime environment, from the surface to the seabed; technological developments with particular reference to emerging research fields, such as cyber security, unmanned and underwater; lastly, logistics and infrastructure that must necessarily be redesigned to ensure “blue growth” in order to ensure sustainable development, as recommended by the United Nations. In fact, it is important to keep in mind that the UN strongly wanted to establish the “Decade of the Sea”, recommending to all the institutions it represents to work towards a blue approach: “a blue cluster approach in the Ocean Decade”.
