Events to look out for

Workshop: ENRICH your innovation and business potential in China – 25 June, Porto (PT). This one-day workshop will provide a zoom into the Chinese innovation landscape, highlighting specificities on how the topic is addressed in the country as well as the results of extensive research conducted by the ENRICH in China project.

Creating value together: Towards business partnerships between social economy and traditional enterprises – 3-4 July, Brussels (BE). This conference on business partnerships between social economy and traditional enterprises will feature a high-level panel discussion, 15 interactive workshops and matchmaking opportunities.

Funds available

SINTEF launches NOK 500 million seed investment fund for start-ups. With support from the European Investment Fund, SINTEF has successfully established a new NOK 500 million (c. EUR 50 million) early stage investment fund to develop new technology companies. The new seed investment fund will invest in – and develop – new micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (SME) whose activities are based on technology originating from research at SINTEF and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

EU policies for better business

EU budget: New Single Market programme to empower and protect Europeans. For the next long-term EU budget 2021-2027, the European Commission is proposing a new, dedicated €4 billion programme to empower and protect consumers, promote human, animal and plant health, support Europe's many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and establish a framework for financing European statistics.
