EIF and HBOR launch new equity investment programme in Croatia for SMEs and midcaps. The European Investment Fund (EIF) and HBOR launched a EUR 70 million-investment programme to support fast-growing SMEs and mid-caps established and operating in Croatia.
EU policies for better business
New rules on safety features for prescription medicines. The new rules entered into force on 9 February and require the industry to affix a 2-D barcode and an anti-tampering device on the box of prescription medicines. From now on, pharmacies – including on-line pharmacies – and hospitals will have to check the authenticity of medicines before dispensing to patients.

Medical devices: get ready for the new regulations. To help smooth the transition to the two new Regulations on medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices the European Commission created a new website. The portal presents the new regulatory requirements in various sections targeted at impacted actors (manufacturers, importers, health institutions, authorities in non-EU countries and others).
