Organic food & beverage business mission to Singapore and Thailand – 1-7 September 2019. The seven-day mission week will be an opportunity for around 50 participant companies to hold business-to-business meetings with key food and beverage buyers and partners across South East Asia. Apply by 17 May.

EUR100 million EU support for innovative companies in Finland. Access to finance for Finnish small and medium sized businesses is set to receive a boost through a guarantee agreement signed between the EIF and LocalTapiola Corporate Lending fund. The guarantee agreement will facilitate new lending up to EUR100 million within the company’s corporate lending portfolio.
EU policies for better business
Report on EU trade defence: effective protection against unfair trade. The EU shields 320,000 direct jobs across Europe from unfair foreign competition through its trade defence measures, according to a new report. Since November 2014, the European Commission put in place 95 trade defence measures. Two-thirds of all the 135 measures in place concern imports from China.
EU scores final victory in the WTO Boeing dispute. A World Trade Organisation (WTO) ruling last week confirmed the EU's long held position that the United States has taken no steps to comply with WTO rules in respect to state support to Boeing. The ruling confirms that the United States has failed to remove the massive and trade-distorting subsidies granted to the aircraft manufacturer and dismissed all of the US appeal points.
