The brokerage event is organized as part of the project Small but Perfectly Formed, a project that accelerates fashion SMEs to transition to circular and sustainable models. However, it recognises that small and medium size fashion enterprises are working within a wider system and need more than acceleration; they need to be integrated into a system that truly puts people and planet before profit.
Small But Perfectly Formed is a project co-funded by the European Commission’s COSME programme under Grant Agreement 958060. The consortium partners are: Athens University of Economics and Business, Fashion Revolution Global, World Fair Trade Organisation, Fair Trade Advocacy Office, Bocconi University, Impact Hub Lisbon, We Love You Communications, Fashion Revolution Germany, Fashion Revolution Portugal
and Fashion Revolution Greece. The supporting partners are: Common Objective, University of Portsmouth and Neoynt (Studio MM04).
"Putting best practices into practice: three Italian case studies of sustainable best practice making in an EU knowledge sharing project" is the title of CNA Federmoda and CNA Milano project winner of the call.
The project has been organized in two main stages: from the study to the dissemination of best practices. Main goals of the events were:
Show circular and sustainable best practices active on Italian territory (Training a new generation of shoe artisans – new materials – the regenerated wool of Prato district);
Dissemination, and matchmaking to accelerate sustainable and circular models among the stakeholders with the support of the involved best practices and the Small but Perfect toolkit.
